Windows Vista is going to have a couple different themes available for users to pick from, but which one will you choose? the istartedsomething.com site put together a great way to compare the various themes from the Aero Glass all the way to Windows Classic. Once you are on their site you just have to hover your mouse over the “buttons” that I point to in the image above. Then the screenshot will switch to that theme. Very nice!
The only thing that I was a little confused on was the Aero Glass and Vista Standard. The Aero Glass is of course the theme with the transparency but the Vista Standard appears to be the same theme just without the transparency. I don’t have this kind of theme in my visual preferences? Maybe I’m missing something?

MS need to hire some new ‘theme’ people. Pehaps some Deviant Art designers?
I don’t have any options but vista basic and below. Damn my crappy gfx card. Damn it to hell.
On my laptop I only have the Vista Basic as well but I have had the Aero enabled on my desktop before and it isn’t all that it is cracked up to be. Sure it looks cool but sometimes it feels like it’s a little too much eye candy.
I’ve got WindowBlinds 5. Plenty of styles available for that, and does full Vista style transparency. Anyone know if it works in Vista yet?
