Remove WGA 1.2 Download Now Available

A new version of RemoveWGA (Remove Windows Genuine Advantage) has been released. This version takes all of the pain out of removing that nasty WGA tool that Microsoft decided to install on our computers. You know, the thing that is constantly sending them information…yeah, that one. Of course Microsoft did tell us how we could remove it ourself but they hardly did it in a way that is easy for anyone.

All you have to do is run the software and it will pretty much do the rest. No digging through files or any of that junk, it does exactly what it needs to do and nothing more! Just the way we like it.

However, once the program has uninstalled the WGA Notifications you aren’t exactly free yet. Windows will recognize that the update has not been installed and will try to install it again through the Automatic Updates. You can find instructions here on how you can permanently disable the update.
